Overview of the Automations Module

Follow

The full menu for Centage consists of five modules:

  • Modeler
  • Worksheets
  • Automations
  • Tools
  • Reports

The Automations module contains setup or “behind the scenes” operations that enable you to apply your organization's accounting processes to your budget versions. You can apply these automations to your data projection properties in Worksheets so that these will be automatically applied and presented in your Reports.

This document provides you, a Centage user, an overview of functionality within the Automations module.

There are eight options on the Automations menu.

Spread Methods - define how to automatically calculate amounts to periods for data projections. Managing Spread Methods

Increase/Decrease Methods -  automate applying a change to one or more data projections from the original input amount. Managing Increase/Decrease Methods

Allocation Methods - define how to automate and share amounts for data projections. Managing Allocation Methods

Tiered Rates - create thresholds for calculations to apply as these are met. Managing Tiered Rates

Payment Schedules - indicate the timing for payments for expenses data projections. Managing Payment Schedules

Receivable Schedules - indicate the timing for expected cash inflow for revenue data projections. Managing Receivable Schedules

Work/Pay Schedules - provide structure for work periods and pay dates to apply to personnel data projections. Managing Work/Pay Schedules

Recognition Schedules - define the setup for how and when amounts are reported to periods for Income Statement reporting. Managing Recognition Schedules

To access one of the features in Automations, click Automations on the menu bar and select the desired option.
