Centage enables you to upload current data from your accounting or ERP system to analyze or use in your budget. After you set up an integration between Centage and your accounting system, Centage can extract data every night to use for the next day.
Centage can integrate with many accounting systems, including Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT.
This Implementation guide shows you, a Centage and Blackbaud Administrator, how to authorize Centage to access your General Ledger data in Blackbaud.
Integration Overview
Centage’s integration can pull in core General Ledger structures and information from Financial Edge NXT. It extracts data every night to ensure fresh data is populated into Centage for the following day.

Admin Invites Centage
Step 1: Log into blackbaud.com and go to Financial Edge NXT.
Step 2: Go to Control Panel > Security.
Step 3: Click Add user.
Step 4: Enter the name and email address.
- Name – Centage Integration
- Email – integration@centage.com
- Admin Roles – Selected
Step 5: Click Send Invite.
Admin Add Centage App
Step 1: From the Home page, click on the "Manage" page in the Blackbaud dashboard and locate the "Connected Apps" section. Within the connected apps section, find an option or button to add a new connected app. You will be prompted to enter the Application ID for Centage. Input the following Application ID:

Step 2: Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm and establish the connection between Blackbaud and the Centage application.
Step 3: After connecting, verify that the Centage application has been "sideloaded" successfully. This may involve checking for a confirmation message or status indicating a successful connection.
Ensure that the necessary permissions are granted to Centage as needed. This may include reviewing and approving access to specific data or functionalities within Blackbaud.
Centage Accepts Invitation
After you complete the invitation, we will receive a notification and will begin the integration process. If we have any issues, we will reach out to you.
What’s Next?
Centage’s Integration team will receive an email automatically from Blackbaud. We will confirm permissions have been configured properly and will notify you if any modifications are necessary. No further action will be required at this time unless otherwise requested. Once the integration has been completed, the Centage Consulting team will validate the data and will reach out if necessary.

To add the Centage app, you actually need to go to the Blackbaud Marketplace, then select Manage at the top of the page, then +Connect App. At least I did not have this ability via the Control Panel drop down.
