Viewing and Adding Comments in Worksheets

Follow

Comments in worksheets let you follow conversations and track the history of changes . Comments appear in chronological order, with the oldest at the top and the newest at the bottom. Users who have access to a Worksheet can see and add comments. Comments are restricted to 2000 characters. Comments cannot be deleted.

What You'll See

Each comment displays the name and avatar of the person who posted it, the comment text, and the time it was posted (for example, "2:15 PM").

Date separators help you follow the conversation. Comments from today are grouped under "Today," comments from yesterday appear under "Yesterday," and older comments show the full date, such as "Friday, April 25th." All times and dates match your browser's time zone.

If a comment includes a link, it appears in green. You can click the link to open it in a new window.

Scrolling

When a worksheet has many comments, scroll down to load more. A brief loading animation appears while additional comments load.
