Quicklinks Redesign

Overview

The Quicklinks section on the homepage provides an intuitive and visually appealing way to access your most-used application pages and custom URLs.

  • Quicklinks are displayed as tiles matching the latest Figma design, each with a new icon.

  • You can add up to 10 Quicklinks, including custom URLs.

  • A placeholder tile appears when fewer than 10 Quicklinks exist.

  • Quicklinks can be added or removed via a dropdown menu or directly from the navigation menu.

  • All tiles navigate to their designated pages in the same tab (no new tabs for standard Quicklinks).

  • Hover effects and an “x” icon allow for easy removal.

  • Quicklinks configuration persists between sessions.

  • Security: If you lose access to a page, its Quicklink will be removed and unavailable for re-adding until access is restored.

Quicklinks appear as tiles on your homepage. Each tile displays an icon and the name of the linked page or custom URL.

Click the edit icon or use the navigation menu to open the Quicklinks dropdown. The dropdown is organized by categories (e.g., Modeler, Worksheets). Use checkboxes to select/deselect Quicklinks. You can add a custom URL, edit its name, or delete it. A placeholder tile appears if you have fewer than 10 Quicklinks.

Hover over a Quicklink tile to reveal the “x” icon. Click the “x” to remove the Quicklink immediately. If you have fewer than 10 Quicklinks after removal, the placeholder tile will reappear. All changes are saved to your user preferences and persist between sessions.

4. Managing Access and Security

If your access to a page is revoked, its Quicklink will disappear from your list and from the add modal. If access is restored, you can add the Quicklink again.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

  • If a Quicklink does not appear, check your access permissions.

  • If changes to Quicklinks do not persist, try refreshing the page or check your network connection.

  • For issues with custom Quicklinks, ensure the URL is valid and unique if needed.
