Managing Data Update Rules

Follow

The Data Update Rules tab provides you with the option to manage how updates to Base Structure members are handled upon upload to Centage. When data is uploaded to Centage, we will evaluate  the data to identify changes to existing Base Structure members.  This includes changes to existing members or if it is a completely new  Base Structure member.  This tab enables you to select how Centage will handle these changes.  You have the option to automatically accept or reject these changes, or to require that the changes be reviewed by and Administrator user to determine if the changes should be accepted or rejected.

This document explains the functions of the Data Update Rules tab.

Overview of Upload Data Tab

To access the Data Update Rules tab, click Modeler on the left menu bar and select Source Data.

The Source Data page has three tabs, Upload Data, Data Update Rules and Data Maintenance.

There are two sections on the Data Update Rules tab.  The first section enables you to indicate how you would like to handle changes to existing Base Structure members and the second section is for how to handle new Base Structure members.  For each type of change you can select to accept, deny, or wait for user input.  The default setting is Wait for user input on changes.
