Planning Maestro’s budget Workflow feature enables your budget team to collaborate and communicate as you build your company’s budget.
This document gives you, a Planning Maestro user:
- A brief overview of the Workflow feature.
- Links to documents with step-by-step instructions for using this feature.
Workflow Overview
Step 1: The Administrator should contact the Centage Account Manager and ask them to enable Workflow for their Planning Maestro account.
Step 2: The Administrator should enable and set up Security for your Version Dimension and re-deploy your Plan. (Version Security protects sensitive data in your company, such as certain what-if scenarios.)

Step 3: When Workflow is enabled and your Version Dimension’s Security is enabled and set up, an Administrator can open your Security page and enable Workflow for non-Admin user Groups who will have budget Assignments.

Step 4: When Workflow is enabled and your Version Dimension’s Security is enabled and set up, an Administrator can open Financial Intelligence Setup, enable Workflow, and create Workflows and Assignments.

Step 5: The Administrator can send these Assignments to their Owners (users responsible for completing the Assignments). The Owners complete these Assignments and submit them for approval.

Step 6: The Admin reviews the completed Assignments and either approves them or requests revisions (sends them back so the Owners can edit them).

Step 7: When all Assignments are complete, submitted, and approved, the Admin can mark that Workflow as Done.
